Telephone conversation between President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev

On 27 December  2018, a telephone conversation was held between the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.  

Taking this opportunity, the heads of the two states congratulated each other on the upcoming New Year 2019, wishing health and success for the benefit of two nations.

During the conversation, the Presidents discussed important areas of interstate cooperation, which are based on strong bonds of good neighborhood and friendship, principles of equal mutually beneficial cooperation.

Noting the presence of solid potential for further building up the partnership in different directions, the parties also stressed the high level of bilateral dialogue and its constructive nature. In addition, the Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev exchanged views on regional and global agenda issues, reaffirming the commitment of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan to the constructive partnership within the UN, CIS and other authoritative international organizations to ensure global peace, stability and security.

At the end of the telephone conversation, the Presidents expressed confidence that the interstate dialogue based on the historical and cultural community, centuries-old good-neighbourly relations will continue to develop.
