In accordance with the Decrees of the President of Turkmenistan No. 2300 dated 01.07.2021 and No. 77 dated 28.04.2022, the validity period of e-passports of citizens of Turkmenistan, temporarily staying or permanently residing in foreign countries, expired or expiring from 01 January 2020 to 30 December 2024, have been extended until 31 December 2024.
In this regard, upon application of citizens of Turkmenistan, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Federal Republic of Germany places a QR code and a note on the extension of the passport - until 31.12.2024 - in biometric data passports.
NOTE: Due to the expiration of the validity period, this consular service is currently not available.
Further extension - The issuance of a new biometric passport of a citizen of Turkmenistan is carried out on the territory of Turkmenistan by the competent authorities of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan.
The issuance of a new biometric passport is not carried out at the Embassy.
Accordingly, citizens of Turkmenistan residing outside the territory of Turkmenistan are required, prior to the expiry of their current biometric passport, to travel to Turkmenistan and personally submit the required documents to the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan, as the collection of the applicant’s biometric personal data may be performed exclusively upon the applicant’s personal presence.
The procedure for the issuance of a biometric passport of a citizen of Turkmenistan, as well as the list of required documents, are published on the official website of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan:
