Certificate for Return to Turkmenistan
A Certificate for Return to Turkmenistan is issued to citizens of Turkmenistan in cases of loss, theft, damage, or expiration of a passport while staying in the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Kingdom of Spain, the Republic of Poland, and the Kingdom of Denmark, as well as to children born abroad to citizens of Turkmenistan.
For the issuance of a Certificate for Return to Turkmenistan, the applicant must personally submit the following documents to the Consular Section of the Embassy.
List of Required Documents:
- application;
- questionnaire in the prescribed form;
- autobiography;
- explanatory letter;
- in case of loss or theft of the passport — a certificate issued by the competent police authorities confirming the loss/theft of the passport, with a notarized translation into Turkmen or Russian;
- original and copy of the biometric passport;
- original and copy of the national (internal) passport;
- original and copy of the birth certificate;
- when applying for a Certificate for a newborn child:
- original and copy of the child’s birth certificate, legalized by the competent authority of the country of birth
(in Germany — the Federal Foreign Office or a Regional Court;
in the Kingdom of Spain, the Republic of Poland, and the Kingdom of Denmark — the Ministry of Foreign Affairs); - original and copy of the parents’ marriage certificate;
- original and copy of the child’s birth certificate, legalized by the competent authority of the country of birth
- copy of a foreign document confirming the right of residence or stay;
- two photographs, size 3 × 4 cm (color, matte paper).
Copies of the required documents are to be provided on A4-size paper.
Consular Fee
The consular fee for the issuance of a Certificate for Return to Turkmenistan is as follows:
- EUR 20 — for issuance of the Certificate within 4 to 10 days from the date of acceptance of the documents;
- EUR 35 — for urgent issuance of the Certificate within 1 to 3 working days.
Submission Procedure and Validity Period
Documents are submitted by the applicant in person.
The Certificate for Return to Turkmenistan is issued with a validity period of up to 30 days.
