UN General Assembly adopted “Avaza Political Declaration” Resolution

On October 14, 2025, in New York, during during the 18th plenary meeting of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Resolution “Avaza Political Declaration” was viewed and unanimously adopted.
The document, co-sponsored by 57 states, was adopted under agenda item 13, Integrated and coordinated implementation of and follow-up to the outcomes of the major United Nations conferences and summits in the economic, social and related fields.
The Resolution “Avaza Political Declaration” reflects the key conclusions and strategic vectors embedded in the Avaza Program of Action for 2024-2034, adopted at the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), held in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza” under the chairmanship of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The document emphasizes the importance of international solidarity in strengthening the economic potential and integration of landlocked countries into the global economy, as well as the importance of sustainable transport, digital and energy infrastructure development, trade, and the environment.
The adoption of the Resolution “Avaza Political Declaration” is a significant confirmation of Turkmenistan’s high international standing and recognition of its leading role in promoting the principles of permanent neutrality, peace, trust, and cooperation at the global level.
