Turkmenistan and Türkiye to intensify interparliamentary contacts

On February 24-25, 2025, a delegation led by the Chairwoman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova was on a working visit to the Republic of Türkiye.

On February 24, a meeting between D.Gulmanova and the Chairman of the Turkish-Turkmen Interparliamentary Friendship Group Haluk Ipek took place. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation and interparliamentary relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Türkiye.

On February 25, negotiations in the narrow format were held in the premises of the Turkish Parliament between the Chairwoman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Türkiye Numan Kurtulmuş.

D.Gulmanova conveyed greetings and best wishes of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. During the conversation, the parties noted the positive dynamics of the development of bilateral inter-parliamentary dialogue.

Then the parliamentary delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the work of the Turkmen-Turkish inter-parliamentary consultations.

During a thorough exchange of views on the current agenda of bilateral cooperation, the parties emphasized that the current meeting will serve as an effective platform for the expansion and development of inter-parliamentary partnership.
