Turkmenistan and Poland discussed issues of bilateral cooperation

On November 17, 2017, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan there was a meeting with the delegation led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland in Turkmenistan (with residence in Baku) Marek Tsalka, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit.

During the conversation, noting the positive dynamics of the development of relations between the two countries, the sides discussed issues of political interaction within the framework of international organizations. Expanding the prospects of trade and economic cooperation, the parties considered the organizational issues of the Turkmen-Polish intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation. Speaking about the interest in the development of relations in the field of transport and infrastructure, the Ambassador of Poland put forward a number of proposals for consideration by the Turkmen side.

The sides also paid special attention to the issues of cultural and humanitarian cooperation and expressed their proposals on the organization of joint events. At the end of the meeting, noting the need to bring bilateral ties to a higher level that meets the long-term interests of the two countries, the sides expressed interest in arranging high-level visits.
