The Turkmen-German business forum was held in Germany
On February 13, 2019, Turkmen delegation headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Co-Chairman of the Turkmen-German working group on trade and economy participated in the Turkmen-German business forum.
Executive Director of the Eastern Committee of German Economy Michael Harms and representatives of relevant state and private organizations of Germany made speeches during the business forum.
The participants of the forum noted the existence of wide opportunities on expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in different spheres of economy between Turkmenistan and Germany. Concrete activities on developing trade-economic relations through diversification were discussed. In the framework of negotiations, the necessity of expanding exchange of experience between the two countries, widening export-import operations, and increasing the number of services particularly in the agricultural sphere.
The participants of the business forum have been thoroughly acquainted with Turkmen economic strategy in the framework of implementing newest technologies and leading managerial systems in the agricultural sphere as well as providing assistance to the entrepreneurship.
In the framework of business forum, the exhibition of goods produced in Turkmenistan was organized as well as meetings of the members of Turkmen delegation with representatives of German companies “Claas” and “Umax Trade GmbH” were held.
Upon completion of the Business Forum, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture and Nature Protection of Turkmenistan and the “Umax Trade GmbH” company, as well as the Memorandum of Understanding between the Turkmen University of Agriculture named after S.A.Nyyazov and “Umax Trade GmbH” company were signed.
Also a number of agreements were signed between The Union of Industrials and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and German companies.
