The visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to the Federal Republic of Germany continues

On November 15, 2018 in the framework of the working visit, the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan arrived in Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany.

During the visit the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan had a meeting with Heiko Maas, Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany.

The parties discussed latest developments in bilateral cooperation and prospects of it. It was noted that significant factor to strengthen bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Germany was the meetings between the heads of states. It was also underlined that, the President of Turkmenistan had visited Germany in 2008 and 2016 and these were very important events to expand Turkmen-German cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian fields. The Heads of foreign ministries have exchanged views on wide range of regional and international matters representing mutual interest.  

Turkmen delegation had meetings with Claudia Dörr-Voss, State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy of Federal Republic of Germany and with Joachim Bertele, Deputy Advisor on Foreign and Security Policy to the Federal Chancellor of Germany, Federal Chancellery of Germany, where the sides discussed the prospects of trade-economic partnership in various fields, including energy, transport, logistics and financial sector as well as issues of cooperation in culture and education.
