Media Forum started its work in Ashgabat

On September 16, 2016 a Media Forum, dedicated to the first Global Conference on the sustainable transport started its work in Ashgabat. The forum was attended by the representatives of 10 international organizations, as well as journalists and representatives of more than 65 media, representing about 30 countries.

During the first session of the forum the representatives of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the International Road Transport Union (IRU), the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the Organization for Cooperation between Railways (OSJD) made their presentations.

The participants of the Media Forum exchanged views on a number of issues, in particular relating to the formation of a modern legal framework for cooperation in the transport sector, as well as the work carried out to expand the infrastructure of transport corridors.
