Successive round of inter-MFA consultations took place between Turkmenistan and the Hellenic Republic
On June 23, 2025, political consultations between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the Hellenic Republic were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The Turkmen side was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov, and the Greek delegation was headed by Director of the Department for Russia, Ukraine, Caucasus, Black Sea and Central Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece Dimitrios Michalopoulos.
During the consultations, a constructive exchange of views on the bilateral agenda took place, the level of political dialogue between the two countries, as well as the progress in implementing previously reached agreements were considered.
Having noted the effective interaction of the two countries within the framework of international structures, in particular, the UN, the EU, the diplomats voiced the mutual readiness of the sides to continue enhancing multilateral cooperation.
The intention for close foreign policy coordination and mutual support at international platforms was confirmed. It was agreed to maintain regular working contacts. At the same time, issues related to improving the contractual and legal framework of bilateral relations were considered.
Speaking about the current state and prospects of partnership in the trade and economic sphere, the participants emphasized the existing solid potential for joint work in this area.
Touching upon the theme of interstate relations, special emphasis was placed on cultural and humanitarian interaction. Interest was expressed in developing cooperation in the field of science, education, sports, tourism, etc.
