Political consultations took place between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tunisia

On June 25, 2024, political consultations were held via videoconference between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tunisia. The Turkmen side was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmed Gurbanov, the Tunisian side – by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad of the Republic of Tunisia Mounir bеn Rajiba.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues on further strengthening Turkmen-Tunisian relations was discussed and the importance of expanding the contractual and legal framework of the partnership was emphasized.

Ways to increase the volume of trade-economic interaction, cooperation in the field of investment, tourism and agriculture were discussed in detail.

In addition, a mutual focus was stated on intensifying inter-parliamentary contacts through the creation of a Turkmen-Tunisian inter-parliamentary friendship group, as well as ties in the educational and humanitarian spheres.

The parties also exchanged views on current issues on the international and regional agenda.
