UAE expresses gratitude to Turkmenistan for humanism

On June 14, 2025, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan Ahmed Alhay Hamad Khamis Alhameli sent letters to the President of Turkmenistan, as well as the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.

The deep gratitude on behalf of the Government of the United Arab Emirates was expressed in the letters “for the noble cooperation and humane support provided by the authorities of Turkmenistan in connection with the forced stopover of a number of UAE Airlines flights at Ashgabat International Airport on June 13, 2025.  We were deeply impressed by the hospitable reception of the passengers of these flights and the provision of all the necessary, including food and water during several hours of waiting. This was a vivid evidence of noble humanitarian values inherent in the Government and people of Turkmenistan...”.

It was also emphasized that this noble act reflects the depth of brotherly relations between the two countries, as well as the true spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance.
