Conference “International Year of Peace and Trust: Cherishing Unity, Peace, Humanism, Friendship and Brotherhood in the World”

On April 3, 2025, the Conference “International Year of Peace and Trust: Cherishing Unity, Peace, Humanism, Friendship and Brotherhood in the World” was held at the Mekan Palace.

The conference was attended by members of the Government of Turkmenistan, leadership and staff members of diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, healthcare workers, faculty and students of national higher education institutions, as well as representatives of public organizations and mass media.

The Conference was preceded by a literary and musical composition “Çagalaryň saglygy – Watan baýlygy” (Children’s Health is the Fatherland’s wealth)!” performed by artists of the Main Academic Drama Theatre named after Saparmyrat Turkmenbashi.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat, representatives of the Embassies of the Republic of  Türkiye, the State of Libya, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan in Turkmenistan, representatives of medical and educational institutions of the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, editors, as well as the mother of a child who reçeiýed surgery through the resources of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave speeches at the conference.

During her address, the Ambassador of the Republic of India particularly emphasized the importance of the activities of the Charity Fund for Providing Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The work of the Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Center named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was also noted. Having desçribed the programs of India aimed at improving the welfare of children, the diplomat noted the similarity of the humanitarian policies of India and Turkmenistan.

The diplomats, doctors and teachers who gave speeches at the conference shared their vision regarding the development of international cooperation for the sake of children, and also highly appraised the work done by the Fund over four years.

An exchange of views took place regarding further joint work to support children, their social protection and adaptation in society.

The participants emphasized the high organizational level of the events held in honor of the fourth anniversary of the Fund’s establishment on March 29 in Arkadag city.
