Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan with the Minister of Road and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran

On 28 March 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Minister of Road and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran Farzaneh Sadegh Malvajerd, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the international conference "The Year of Peace and Trust: Development of International Activities for the Sake of Children".

During the talks, the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Special attention was paid to the development of dialogue at high and highest levels, which is being brought to a qualitatively new stage thanks to the efforts of the leaders of the two countries.

The participants of the meeting noted the important role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission on Economic Cooperation in deepening the partnership between the two countries. In addition, the sides discussed the prospects of strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties.

At the end of the talks, an agreement was reached to further maintain regular interaction for the progressive development of Turkmen-Iranian relations.
