Days of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan take place in Turkmenistan

On 18 November 2024, the opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan was held in the State Cultural Centre “Mukam” Palace.

The event was attended by leadership and representatives of relevant ministries of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, diplomatic missions accredited in our country, mass media, as well as creative artists.

As part of the opening of  the Days of Culture, an exhibition of works of arts and crafts was held in the foyer of the “Mukam” Palace. The exposition consisted of resources and works about traditions and culture, natural attractions and the history of the people of the neighbouring country.

Speakers at the ceremony highlighted the achievements in the context of the implementation of the strategy of comprehensive humanitarian partnership, promoting mutual enrichment of cultures and arts, building constructive ties in this field, and expressed sincere gratitude to the leadership of two friendly states.

Then, a concert of Masters of Arts of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held, where musical-song and dance-ethnographic performances were presented. Presentations of creative workers of the neighboring country impressed the audience greatly.

The concert programme was continued by an ensemble of musicians who demonstrated their skills in playing the ancient musical instruments of the Uzbek people.

As part of the Days of Culture, a meeting of writers of the two countries will be held on November 19 in the State Library of the State Cultural Centre, dedicated to the works of the great poet and thinker of the East Magtymguly Fragi. It should be noted that a relevant resolution was adopted in order to widely celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi in Uzbekistan. Also Turkmen and Uzbek cinematographers created a feature film dedicated to the life and works of the poet and thinker.

The Tashkent recreation park located in Ashgabat will host a concert of Art masters of the neighboring state, an exhibition of national Uzbek outfits and dishes, as well as an exposition of works of arts and crafts of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
